About the Investor and Partnering Forum
The Investor and Partnering Forum at the Stem Cell Meeting on the Mesa is the only partnering meeting organized specifically for the regenerative medicine industry. This meeting will introduce partnering to the regenerative medicine community, allowing closer access and relationships between investors, companies, and entrepreneurial academics to facilitate business development and partnering in the field. Furthermore, this event was developed by ARM, CIRM and the Sanford Consortium to specifically facilitate translational research, PI engagement in the business community and provide the opportunity for hundreds of business, academic research and investor participants to connect for one-on-one meetings and strategic partnering.
Partnering Forum Attendees
The Forum expects to attract approximately 300 participants this year. In addition to the Scientific Symposium at Stem Cell Meeting on the Mesa, the Forum will specifically attract:
Leading regenerative medicine companies from around the world
CIRM grant recipients (academic PIs)
Large pharmaceutical companies
Emerging biotech companies
Institutional investors
Tools and development platform providers
Specialized suppliers and service companies
Academic and research institutions
Foundations and disease philanthropies
Agenda
This Investor and Partnering Forum will feature three main components:
• Partnering
• Company presentations
• Industry panels
Partnering
Partnering at the Forum will focus on facilitating access to capital and business development in the regenerative medicine field. The one-to-one meetings will be scheduled using a state-of-the-art partnering system provided by the EBD Group to match and connect participants with prospective partners and investors.
Company Presentations
The Investor and Partnering Forum will also offer innovative and growing companies with the opportunity to present on new technologies, programs, or commercial developments in their business. These presentations are in 15-minute allotments and will be featured throughout the Forum.
Industry Panels
The Forum will feature a keynote address and panel discussions featuring thought leaders in the field or regenerative medicine science, commercialization, regulatory, and reimbursement issues. Panelists will include executives from leading regenerative medicine research institutes and companies discussing new technologies, commercial development obstacles, and challenges ahead for newly marketed and late-stage products in regenerative medicine.
More details of the agenda — including company presentation schedules and panel speakers — will be updated as they develop.
